The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of complex, creative builds from concept through to installation. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating internal departments and external suppliers to ensure quality, timelines and budgets are all met.
You’ll be the linchpin between fabrication design, workshop creatives, clients and contractors — keeping communication clear and momentum high throughout every stage of production.
In addition to the running of projects, you will work with our Development Director and Head of Project Management to support PQQs, tenders, quotations, and all work essential to pitching and presenting to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule and manage fabrication projects from brief to handover
Work with Department Heads/Project Leads to coordinate workflow across carpentry, metalwork, scenic, paint, and finishing teams
Develop project timelines, resource plans and risk assessments
Liaise directly with client team and subcontractors
Attend production meetings and ensure clear communication across all teams
Manage budgets, quotes and procurement
Track projects, provide internal status reports & project evaluations for client
Manage site logistics, including delivery to site, crew travel & accommodation
Ensure all work meets creative, technical and safety standards
Skills & Experience
Proven experience (minimum of 4 years’) managing creative or fabrication-based projects
Confident working in a fast-paced workshop or production environment

Experienced in production of RAMS, Construction Phase plans and all relevant H&S documentation

The Head of Production / Production Director will oversee and coordinate the production processes. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, technical knowledge of creative fabrication processes, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality builds on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator and leader, with a strong background in construction within the creative sector (e.g theatre, set building, film sets, exhibitions, live events, theming etc).
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Coordination:
o Lead internal production, senior management & client meetings
o Develop and manage production schedules & processes to meet delivery deadlines
o Lead the team to solve clashes or gaps in the production schedule in a timely manner
o Oversee project timelines and communicate progress to board
o Allocate resources, including staff, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and quality.
o Evaluate requirements for external skills (freelancers/contract staff) and notify HR in a timely manner of contract start and end dates
o Work alongside Workshop Administrator to allocate production space to each project
o Support Sales and Development teams in the procurement of projects
Team Leadership and Management:
o Supervise and motivate the workforce (comprised of modelmakers, art dept, carpenters, metalworkers, mould makers etc)

o Conduct regular team meetings to discuss production progress, address challenges, and improve workflow

We’re always looking for freelance carpenters to join our in house team. You will work alongside the project lead, in-house creative team and project managers to deliver high finishes for the Retail, Leisure, Museum and Heritage sectors.
The role would suit those with a background in large scale set/scenic builds, bespoke bar/restaurant fit outs, events and exhibitions.
Working predominantly from our premises in Bristol, the role will require occasional site installation work.
