Sustainability

Today, 0% of our workshop is powered directly by the sun.

In 2024, Cod Steaks fully embraced renewable and sustainable practices to improve our environment and reduce the carbon footprint of our industry.

Solar power.

As of March 2024, 50% of our energy usage has been supplied by solar power. We partnered with SunLight Future and the West of England Combined Authority to install 150 solar panels on the roof of our headquarters in Bristol.

This initiative will not only support our projects in the workshop but will also assist our eco-heating system and the new energy-efficient LED lights in both the workshop and the office.

‘‘Avon Needs Trees is a registered charity creating new, permanent woodland throughout the Bristol-Avon catchment to fight the climate and ecological emergencies.’’

Cod Steaks now supports “ Avon Needs Trees” in their effort to create woodland in our local countryside.
